Origin of the Buffalo Belt
Early summer 2022, I had a vision for a very specific belt that I wanted to make, and this is the product of that vision.
The design idea for this belt came very vivid to me, down to the smallest details, including the shape of the billet, the grooves on the keeper and my favorite part - traditional copper rivets. It's rugged, it's rustic, and it will be longstanding.
This is the Buffalo Belt.
The original was made from two 1.5" wide straps of all natural vegetable tanned leather, stitched and burnished by hand for ultimate quality and durability. The overall thickness was about 12-14 oz. and made complete with an antique brass buckle and copper rivets. Lined with a heavy, natural toned waxed linen thread.
This is what I'm offering to you, but now with natural tone 1.2mm Ritza Tiger Thread for an even higher quality. All other features remain true to the original, save for the newly designed variations, which include a primary color variant of Trace (dark) Green, and the more economic single ply rendition. The quality and durability remains with the single ply belt, which is an 8-10 oz. strap of top grain vegetable tan, and is ideal for the daily wear regardless of the journey in which it embarks.
Sit back in it with your favorite pour of bourbon, or wear it out in the field equipped with the peripherals you require on your next adventure. But make no mistake, the Buffalo Belt is built to last.
Currently one (1) in stock. Single Ply (not lined). It will fit someone with about a 32-34” waist.
